from Intel. The new Celeron is identical to the newest Coppermine
P-III chips except that they run at a 66 MHz FSB and have 128K
of L2 cache. These chips could make for some pretty decent and

Athlon Reaches Landmark 1GHz
Well, it was going to happen eventually and it’s a good thing
that AMD did it instead of chip giant Intel. Today AMD announced
the availability of three new processors, a 900 MHz Athlon, a
950 MHz Athlon and the magic 1Ghz Athlon. The announcement of
these three chips is sure to make Intel sweat and AMD stocks rise
